Guitar
Tab/Chords
There are a
number of places on the Web where avid, or beginner, guitar
players can find chords or tab for Dar's songs. Most of them
also have links and/or music for other musicians as well.
Play With Dar, the
DarWilliams.net guitar tab/chord archive (It's been updated
with songs from Promised Land - more to come).
Ron Greitzer's chord page
has many Dar tunes. He also has Cry Cry Cry's chords and
lyrics as well as a bunch of other artists. He's got great
instructions at the start of many of the songs, too!
Ed's Folk
Guitar Page has music for those interested in some of
Dar's (and other musician's) more complicated music.
There's also a Dar
Songbook available from Hal Leonard publishing. It has
music, chords, tab and lyrics for 12 songs.
Lyrics
There are a number of places on the Internet where
you can get just the lyrics (not tab/chord notation to get in
the way) to Dar's songs. Here are a few of them. If you do a
search for "dar williams lyrics" there's a lot more but many
of them are sites with ads and all manner of junk.
Dar
Williams Lyrics Index -- This page also includes
lyrics from some of the songs on the first two tapes All My
Heroes Are Dead and I Have No History.
Lyricsdownload.com
-- included because the songs are listed in alphabetical order

Have No Right from The Green World. The song is
about peace activists Berrigan brothers and has been
added to this site as a tribute to Philip Berrigan who
passed away in early December 2002.
From the
prayer card at Philip Berrigan's funeral:
"Peacekeeping
is
not
only
a
central
characteristic
of the gospel. Peacemaking is the greatest need
of the world today. We are the daughters and
sons of God, and that means we are called to be
peacemakers, whether we like it or not. It's a
responsibility of all of us to pursue peace for
its own sake, for the sake of the future for our
children."
