• I'm off to the Ottawa Folk Festival this weekend and for a little bit of vacation in points east so there'll be no updates for a while. But if you've got anything you think I need to know, e-mail and I'll get on it upon my return some time next week.

• It's taken a while but that's because I had a vision and was trying to get it right but not perfect yet so . . . here's a work in progress for you: the Falcon Ridge FF Photo page . • LAST MINUTE MEDIA ALERT: This from Lisa at AGF:

Dar will be appearing on Cape Cod radio station WTWV (101.1) "The Wave" tomorrow morning at 8 am. She'll be interviewed live on the air for the Doug and Mina "Too Damn Early" show.
Apparently this is usually an 80's/modern radio station but the morning team are huge fans and apparently their program director just got fired so the morning team, who are the the highest rated morning show in their market, are doing whatever the heck they want for now and they want to interview Dar!
• Keeping with this week's retro theme: Ron Greitzer is again a man on a mission and he's now transcribing the chords for the songs on Dar's early tapes. The lyrics are sometimes a bit sketchy so if you find problems, be sure to e-mail me so I can fix 'em up right! The new tabs today are for All My Heroes are Dead and Anthem. Get to them from the Play with Dar section. The early tapes are at the bottom of the page.

• We have some very special photos given to darwilliams.net by Dar's mother. Check them out in the newly renamed "special events" section of the gallery .
• Scott Green's early Dar tape offer is open now through August 31, 2001. From September 1, 2001 to early November 2001 the offer will be TEMPORARILY stopped. In early November 2001 he will REOPEN the offer. For information on the early Dar tape offer, please consult his " Dar Museum " web page.

• Most online music vendors have the disk on their sites and many will let you pre-order it. It's set for release on Sept. 25
• This note from videographer Harry Keates:
• I took some of the video footage I have of this year's Falcon Ridge Folk Festival and made a short video that I am calling "Images of Falcon Ridge 2001." It is really a work-in-progress, not a final video, but I wanted to put it up for a little while so people can see it.

It is on my home page www.hakmusic.com , and will be up til the end of the month. The video includes a shot of Dar among other artists, as well as shots of the festival in general. Images of Falcon Ridge is just under 3 minutes long, and is available in multiple formats for cable or 56k
modems.

• Dar will be playing an exclusive concert in London on Sept. 19. Details .
• The Green World will be released in the U.K. on October 1.

• There's pix from Dar's show in New Haven, Ct. last week up on the International Arts Initiatives Web site. There's also shots of the Nields et al. I've added one of the pix to the darwilliams.net gallery .
• A few updates to the discography and other minor tweaks here and there.

• The rest of the dates/venues for the short US fall tour are up on the tour schedule . We will be able to conifrm the openers next week - but it will be Catie Curtis on some and Jeffrey Gaines on others.
• Dar is going to be part of a Pacifica garden party/benefit. See details on the news page .
• Dar appears in a few of the videos on The Nields newly released video CD Come on in and Play. I think she also sings back up on The Nields latest live CD as well. You can get 'em at the Bulletproof store .
