The first addition to the Library for 2004 has now been made!
There has been a bit of a controversy lately over whether Dar has "sold out" and is singing in television commercials. The answer is that she has not sold out but she can be found singing the Mama's and Papa's song Go Where You Wanna Go in an ad for Singulair allergy medicine. Singing is how she makes her living and that's just what she's doing!

I have managed to upload the 1997 Rolling Stone webcast of Dar's show at Chicago's Park West. It's in Real Audio and you can watch it using the link at the bottom of the music page. It's about 1 hour 45 minutes long and features Stephanie Winters on cello and Billy Masters on guitar.

Dar will be making an appearance on Martha's Vineyard station WMVY at 9:00am on Saturday morning for all of you early risers!

There's been a change in the plans for Martha's Vineyard. Dar's book signing will be Sunday, August 22 at 10am at Edgartown Books.

Edgartown Books will be on hand at the concert the night before to sell books also, but fans will have to wait until the next day for the signing.

Dar will be doing a book signing at the Borders in Livingstone, NJ on Nov. 19, so put it on your calendars so you don't forget.

A Reuters news service article about solar power becoming chic in New York city contains the following paragraph: "Singer-songwriter Dar Williams, 37, and her husband are topping their Harlem brownstone with solar panels to avoid running their lights on electricity from a nearby nuclear plant."
