It's time to start thinking
about your Dar birthday projects. Each year, Dar fans choose to do a community
service project in honour of Dar's birthday (April 19, 1967). Then
we write up a paragraph summarizing what we did and wishing Dar a happy
birthday. Sally Green compiles these paragraphs into a packet or
booklet, and we send them off to Dar. I also post them on the web.

There's a couple of

of minutes and, hey, polls are amusing.

There's an interesting
article about the Freight in the San

There's also a short

I got an interesting
e-mail today from the person organizing a fundraiser for the Horizons
theatre. They're auctioning off tickets to join Dar for dessert at a gathering
(at a private location in northern Virginia) after the show at the Birchmere
on March 26th. the proceeds of the Mar. 27th show at the Birchmere are
going to Horizons, a theatre company which comes from a 'women's perspective.'
Bidding opens at midnight on February 14 and closes at midnight on March
14. The six top bidders will be contacted by telephone on March 16. The
bids will open at $100. Go to Horizons
for more information and to bid.

I've fixed up and added
a special birthday card to the Dar E-cards

Dar has been nominated
for a bunch of Boston Music Awards. She's one of the top nominees. The
categories she's been nominated in are: Rising Star, Female Vocalist, Album
(Indie Label), Female singer/songwriter. The article in the Boston Globe
said she was nominated for 5 but her name only seems to be listed in four!

Also there's a small
update to the library. Again, a little reminder
that if you see articles about Dar to let me know so I can add them to
the archive. Thanks.
