• Charlie Hunter has sent an update on the Snowden Environmental Trust.  Details on the SET page.
  For those of you unfamiliar with the SET, it's a charitable environmental trust set up by Dar to donate money to worthwhile environmental organizations, in particular, those which are working to preserve land and help wildlife habitat.  In the past, Dar has suggested that $10 be sent to the fund when you trade bootlegs of her performances. A donation is also a great venue for participating in the annual Dar birthday project.

• MEDIA ALERT: The World Cafe with David Dye will be broadcasting a session with Dar Williams on Thursday, January 30th. 
  The World Cafe with David Dye can be heard on more than 150 stations in the U.S. Fans can find their local station by going to the website www.worldcafe.org or they can listen online at 2pm EST or 1am EST.
  This is an interview/performance featuring new songs from the forthcoming release, The Beauty Of The Rain, plus one or two of your old favorites. The session was recorded on Jan. 16th at Indre Studios in Philadelphia with Dar, Julie Wolf (keyboards/vocals), Rob Hyman (keyboards) and Cliff Eberhardt (vocals, guitar).

• Maria Mrowicki has worked out a finger-picking pattern for The Beauty of the Rain. It's been added to the tab in the Play with Dar section.

• Dar Williams is scheduled to perform for a studio audience this evening for the World Cafe (WXPN-FM in Philadelphia and other stations that carry World Cafe).  The date for the broadcast will be announced later.
• Bass player Mike Visceglia, best known for his 15+ years with Suzanne Vega, will be joining Dar on tour. More details on this as they come in.
