What's was new in June 2000

June 30, 2000
It's Friday again, which means IRC chat time. Becky and Graham usually host but they'll be on vacation so Buddy Brannon (Techdawg) will be on hand to make everyone feel welcome. Becky and Graham will be away next week too but the show will go on without them. For more info on IRC click here.

* The Winter 1999 interview with Dar in Hemp Times has been added to the library. One of my favourite quotes is in this story -- she's a vegetarian "who eats meat two or three times a week." It's so perfect.
* Today I'm off with some road buddies to see Dar in Rochester. The show is outdoors and it's raining but there's always hope it'll stop by showtime.

* I've put up the music page. It includes links to guitar tab/chords for those who'd like to play Dar's songs and can't figure it out for themselves (like me).
* There's a couple more articles added to the library. Again, if anyone knows of links or has copies to any of Dar's media interviews, please let me know.

* A few links to articles and interviews with Dar have been added to the  library. If anyone has links or articles that I don't have yet (there are many!) please get in touch with me so I can add them to the site.
* Added a link to watch the As Cool As I Am Video on the  discography page.

June 25, 2000
* Put a whole slew of things on the fan activity page including information on the Dar-list online mailing list, how to get Dar's early tapes, the fan birthday project and some song parodies.
* Also created a new main page for the site that has working links to the various pages.

June 22, 2000
* ICQ Dar chat, tonight and every Friday night, hosted (usually) by Graham Gudgin.
Details.
I would like to invite you all to our regular chat on the #darwilliams IRC channel (part of the XWorld IRC network) this evening (Friday) at 9pm Eastern; tonight will be a little different, however, as neither Becky and I nor Buddy, who recently did such a great job of standing in for us, will be able to make it! So Anarchy will reign (although it always does anyway!), and the channel will be without "Ops". The channel will still be open for business, as always, so please drop in.
* Information about the online videocast of the June 17-18 Clearwater festival on WoodstockRadio/TV.
* I've done a little more updating on the discography. I'm sure at some point it's all going to be done up all lovely and right!

June 21, 2000
* New fall concert tour news plus information on the version of Green Wold to be released only on the Internet
* Discography updated
* The  FAQ page is up now. If you have any questions you'd like to ask or think should be added to the list, drop me a line at the e-mail address on the bottom of the page.

Well hi everyone. Welcome to DarWilliams.net.  This is a fan-run site that offers all a fan of New England singer/songwriter Dar Williams will ever need to know. We have no official affiliation with Dar or her managment.

Only a couple of the links are working as of today (discography, news, gallery) but I will be working on the site over the coming weeks and hope to be putting up a new page every day or two until it's done. But that's just the beginning. This site will be updated frequently and we want input from all Dar fans. So if you have any news, photos, art, writing, questions or anything you'd like to add to the site, please contact us.

The exciting news is that Dar's first album in three years, The Green World, is going to be released August 22. She'll be having three CD release shows at the Bottom Line in NYC to kick things off. For more information go to the news section.
