- A transcriptions
for I Have Lost My Dreams h.as been added to the Play
with Dar section.
- MEDIA
ALERT:
Soundstage , the PBS program that Dar & band recorded last February
in
Chicago, will be airing Dar's performance on August 21st at 10 pm EST.
Everyone
should check local listings for time and channels, as some PBS
stations
will not be showing the program at that suggested time.

- Here's a great
bit
of news from Dar's manager Ron Fierstein about what they're calling the
"Songwriters
Tour": Dar Mary Chapin Carpenter, Shawn Colvin, and Patty Griffin
will
all appear together on stage in a "guitar pull" format - trading songs
for
the whole show. It promises to be awesome. The tour will
take
place mostly in September and October and we expect to hit around 20
markets
- from Florida to Boston to Minneapolis and yes a week on the west
coast.
Dates to be announced in the coming weeks, but for the NYC contingent,
look
for a Central Park Summerstage date on September 14 to be announced
soon.
- A couple of
things have been added to the library.
- Look for lots
more
updates of photos and information. I just moved and haven't had an
opportunity
to update for a bit but lots of lovely people have sent me things.
- Also keep your
eyes on this space for an announcement about some special downloads.

- For
those of you who were wondering who
won SELF’s Bhutan sweepstakes, Lady Luck smiled upon…Arnold Rappoport
of
Long Beach, CA. Dar drew the winning ticket at her June 7 show in New
York
City. Altogether, SELF raised close to $16,000 in sweepstakes
purchases,
$10,000 of that online!

Knows" is featured on a CD called, live at the world cafe, Sweet
Sixteen
that is produced by a local radio station in philadelphia, WXPN 88.5.
You can get it by becoming a member of the station.

- A bunch of new
dates have been added to the tour
schedule
including the following:
- A Day in the
Woods Music Festival
A Day in
the Woods Music Festival being held at Merriweather Post Pavilion in
Columbia,
MD. Artists on this amazing event include Dar Williams, Eddie From
Ohio, Keller Williams, Matt Nathanson, Teitur, Brown Couch, and others
to be announced soon.
This will be a daylong event featuring activities on the lawn and in
the
woods, Vendors, rock climbing, a main stage and a side stage amongst
many
other great attractions. Tickets for this event will go on-sale to the
general
public on Saturday 6.21.03 but EFO loyal fans will be given a chance to
buy
tickets in advance starting this Wednesday 6.11.03.

I'm excited to report it's finally in my town - Toronto, Ontario,
Canada. Rejoice!

- A couple of
new shows have been added to the schedule,
with Dar and band opening for the Dave Matthews Band.
- New stuff added
to the library.
- There's also a review
of The Beauty of the Rain in Dallas' gay and lesbian
paper.
- The Edmonton
Journal has a piece on the great line-up for the Edmonton Folk
Festival this summer, at which Dar will be playing.

there'll
be a few more coming up as well, including one for Father's Day.
