Canadian
singer-songwriter Jim Bryson will be opening the shows for Dar during her
UK tour at the end of November, beginning of December. He took a few minutes
to answer some questions for darwilliams.net. Check
it out. It's also been added to the library
in the miscellany section.

Some media
notes today. I found an article from guitarmusic.com where Dar talks about
playing guitar, singing, practising and generally making music. It's pretty
good and you can get to it from a link in the library.
-
There is
also an article on Dar in the Nov. 6 issue of The Advocate, the U.S.
gay and lesbian magazine. It's got Anne Heche (unfortunately) on the cover
and the Dar article is near the back. It's not on their online site, so
you have to go out and buy it!!
-
Also it's
Friday, so it's IRC chat night. Details.

If you
didn't get to see Dar on tour and you want to get a one of the new t-shirts,
they've just been put up for sale at musictoday.com.
They've also still got shirts from The Green World tour and other Dar merchandise
but not Out There Live or the new We Find Magic Everywhere stickers.

There's
a very insightful article in the San Francisco Gate in which Dar talks
about living in New York, the Sept. 11 attacks and much more. Get there
from the library.
Thanks to Teresa Wong for the link

Update
to the discography. If anyone's heard Dar
and Toshi Reagon's song on the new Pete Seeger tribute album, let me know
how it is.

Since I've
been getting a lot of requests, I have posted the lyrics
to Finlandia, the song Dar has been singing as an encore on most of
the fall tour. I'm not sure if they are the exact lyrics, but it's definitely
the version she's been singing.

There's
an interview with Dar on Beliefnet.com. She talks a bit about her faith
and her music. You can link from the library.
-
Finally,
I added the links to Paul Mischler's Falcon Ridge Folk Festival photos
to the FRFF pix page. He's got a bunch
of great ones from 2000 and 2001. He sent me the links ages ago and I misplaced
'em, but now they're up, so enjoy. If anyone else has any photos, send
me the links.

Please
note that the Bristol venue has changed to the Fiddlers because it has
a bigger capacity than the original venue. The box office number remains
the same - 0117 929 9008.

No news
today, just to let say your webmistress will be away for a few days. Happy

There's
a contest at Fish Records and you can win Dar stuff (and even Pierce Pettis
stuff, if you're so inclined.) Check
it out.
While
I was updating the site recently, I found out the limited edition of The
Green World, with the bonus track O Canada Girls, is no longer available
from Razor and Tie. However, if you want to still get a copy of it, you
can order the U.K. release (you can it from Fish
Records) of TGW, which has the song as a hidden track on the end.
