- WUMB in Boston is celebrating its 20th anniversary. Each year,
the station conducts a poll of listeners' favourites -- sometimes top CDs,
sometimes favorite performers. This year the poll asks you to name
your 10 favourite folk artists of the past 20 years (and if Dar isn't one
of them . . . ). And not only do you get to state your opinions, thereby
providing more notoriety for your favorites, but you also become eligible

- I saw the photo of Dar et al in Vanity Fair over the weekend and she
looks FANTASTIC!! So go out and buy it. It's on newstands now.

- MEDIA ALERT: Dar will be appearing in the upcoming Vanity Fair annual music issue. She's pictured with Beth Orton, Dan Zanes and
David Johansen in a spread entitled "The New Folkies." - Also
of note to U.S. fans, "Calling The Moon" will be played on Felicity on WE
(Women's Entertainment) on October 10 @ 7 pm. The show will be repeated
on October 10 @ 12 pm and on October 11 @ 12 pm.
- As mentioned before, Dar's new CD is scheduled for release in February. The tentative date has been set at Feb. 18, 2003.

- Dar agreed to donate a song to the HRC Foundation's "Being Out Rocks"
benefit CD to celebrate National Coming Out Day, which is October 11, 2002.
The CD will benefit the Human Rights Campaign Foundation. The song
is "Are You Out There." For an more information, pictures of the artists,
and to purchase the CD you can visit HRC's website
- the CD will be shipped starting October 8. Other artists on the CD include
Janis Ian, Rufus Wainright, Ani DiFranco, Catie Curtis, Harvey Fierstein
